As a lot of you guys know, I am doing a Trazer swap on my K5 frame. With the cab on the frame and the rear of the frame shortened, I have limited room to work with for fuel storage. Basically, I have roughly a 28"x19" space to use for a fuel tank. I am running TBI, which has a 3/8 feed line and a 5/16 return. What should I be looking for? I have done some research, but I can't find anything that looks like it would work with my current fuel line routing. Also, would I have to run an externally mounted pump or could I use an in-tank one? I like the reliability of the in tank one with it able to run cooler and everything, but I haven't seen anything where I could run an in tank pump with a fuel cell :confused::confused:

In tank vs external is probably going to boil down to your budget.

Fwiw, I had a couple of fuel cells in my old truck, one plastic and one aluminum. I had the Jaz plastic one first but I found it was bad about collecting water inside, never did figure out how. I had a tonneau cover on the bed so it was not exposed to rain. I swapped to an aluminum RCI cell and the water problem went away. :dunno:

As for hose size the cell will probably come with either -8 or -10 fittings that you can adapt down to the TBI sizes.

Beware! The cost of a good filter and fittings will outweigh the cost of a cell.
