school me on hitches and what i need..

i need a new hitch for the ford..i have a 20 foot 10k trailer that my burb will be towed on..my current hitch has some preety heavy rust so i dont really wanna take any chances...i see the class 5 hitch but that might be over kill...i also see the class 3 is rated up to 10k so is that what i need...my truck has a class 4 on it now but i dont see a 4 listed for my truck..any info would be helpfull...

bigger is better. if they made a class 6 I would tell you to get that. the new thing with hitches is a 2.5" receiver instead of a 2" al the new 2500 and up GM's are coming with them stock. rated at 13,000 lbs.

preciate it chas..i guess there are some things you can scimp and some you cant..the hitch is one...
