school me on torch tanks

A guy at work gave me a full tank which he said was a acetylene tank, got it home and looked up the numbers online and its a Nitrogen tank. my question is, 1. can i use the tank or oxygen or acetylene, 2. how can i dispose of the nitrogen.

go swap it in on trade for the tank you want at your local gas supply shop. thats all i have done for years if i get some.

i act have 2 oxy now i need to swap for c25 mix gas for mig welder. then i will be set on all my tank needs.
