school me on torches..

Im in the market to buy a oxy/acyl torch...i would buy a plasma but i dont have a stong enough air sorce yet....i need to know were do you guys get your bottles filled...is there some to beware of??also how much can i look for one to set me back...thanks guys..

I bought my set from a friend. It cost me $250 with full bottle's. I get my bottle's filled at AirGas, let me check a p/u slip real fast for my price.

Go to Arcet or some other place like that here in town and you can get everything there...

Go with a Victor torch setup

get the henrob 2000. you can cut some serious stuff with it, just watch the videos...

thats nice but a little out of my price range...its almost 600 for a kit....id get a plasma for that....im looking in the 300 dollar and under range...

but the thing is that the miller plasma we have at work cost over 1000 and it wont cut anythin near that thick

I just priced out plasma's.... seems anything under $1200 to 1500 is pretty worthless...

I have had dozens of torches and a few cheap air arc cutters and 1 cheap plazma and that henrob looks like a better value than all the others ill deffinatly be ordering that next payday

exactly, your going to be paying A LOT of money to get a plasma to cut thick metal, where as the $600 for the henrob torch will take care of it.
