I found a corvette someone wants out of their garage, sanded down to fiberglass, with engine out and rear axel off, but everything comes with it. apparently engine doesnt run. They wat 500, may be able to talk them down to three or four. If i didn't fix it up (i really want too, gotta find side pipes) you think I could part it out on ebay for that much and get my money back? Its a 71. 70 and 71 were the highest hp years for the 350 and 454.

I think its deffintly worth every bit of 500 but why not try to talk down a hundred or two

do it man, thats a good deal...the motor alone is worth a $500 core

I go to check it out wednesday. A friend said he sold his rolling chasis for 1200, so It should be worth it if the body is as straight as she said it was. Anyone know if anyone rents flatbed car trailors? I also need to figure out how to get it on it with out rear suspension/axel on. Would movers dolleys work?

Get a trailer, borrow or rent one. Or call AAA to come with their flatbed tow truck to bring it to your house.

Rent one of those 2 wheel car dollies. Jack the vette up and back the dollie under the rearend. Strap the rear of the car down to the dollie. Lock the front wheels, and tow away!!!!

I cant find the VIN on the dash, say it might be on an old dash in the attic. talked them down to 250. An ex-cop told me cars had secret vins on places of the frame, said he couldn't say where. called local police department they said they would come check the car out and to call them the next time I came out there. Anyone know where this vin is? Hard to get a title without a vin...
