Well today i ended trading my 39.5" iroks for a set of 44" tsl's. The ones i got seem to have lots of tread left, and these things are freakin huge! This is the first time i've ever seen a 44" tire in person, and it just dwarfed the iroks..which stunned me.. either way, i'm stoked.. hopefully next weekend i'll have them mounted and bolted on the truck.. until then here are some pics:

Great score!! Those things look real good, TONS of tread - they actually look fairly new. Can't wait to see them on the truck. :pimp:

couple more pics of the tires in daylight sitting next to my truck.. hopefully i'll get them all mounted this upcoming weekend..

Looks like you will have to cut quite a few corners to get those on.
Great find. :D

wow that is a clean k5! almost a shame u gotta cut it up, make sure u do a good job on the fender chop, keep it clean looking! smooth lines!

That is gonna look sweet!! You shouldn't have to cut a whole either. Its just look really tight right now because the small tires are on it.

thanks guys, as for the fenders, i plan on following yunits diagrams. I drew them up in autocadd, and i'm going to plot them on a 1:1 scale, so i will be able to lay them on, tape, and cut.. and once i'm dune cutting, i'm going to lay that rubber looking chrome strip stuff around it to help give off the factory look again...thats the plan anyway..

Please dont... :doah::doah:

haha, i knew i would catch some crap for that.. like i said its all plans right now, i;m trying to still make it look somewhat unmodified(body wise), so we will see..lol,

on the tires, the iroks look pretty worn, but i know the 40's dont come w/ much tread depth to begin w/ and i was thinking about grooving them, but right now i'm just gonna get her up and running again. Possibly this summer, thou.

Can't wait to see it with the "yunit cut", I've been thinking real hard about cutting mine with that pattern.

i wanna know about the truck parked next your k5

sorry i totally missed this. That is a 1980 k20 which belongs to my brother. It has the sm465 in it, and 4.10's in the axles. Its lifted 4" and has roughly 34" toyo's on it. He bought it off my uncle for a dollar, decided to put a lift and exhaust on it, and drives it to highschool everyday.. here are some pics:

haha, gotta little captn in ya huh? Good stuff, i like that and sailors, but back on topic, i was just talking body wise. I'm not a huge fan of half a$$ed cut fenders, so i'm going to attempt to try and make look as professional as possible using the "yunit" diagrams
