So I pulled this 350 out of an old suburban I had, it smoked, but otherwise ran good. I had no idea about the motor, just thought I'd throw a set of new rings in it and then run it in the Blazer. I got around to pulling it apart today and low and behold, I got a 4 bolt main 350 !

Now I can save that 521 caddy I got for a future project.:D

im still misunderstanding the whole joy on 4 bolt mains..

8 out of 9 motors I have been into or installed were 4 bolt mains, and every one of my big blocks has been a 4 bolt main, unless you are breaching some healthy horsepower a 2 bolt will more then accomadate the motor,

not raining on your parade, just amazed at the excitement about 4 bolt mains, hell I have one I currenly trip on trying to get to my tools lol

what are your motor plans?

just curious :)
