My buddy bought this BINKS compressor new about 15 years ago. It was inside his garage the entire time he used it. About 4 years ago the motor quit for some reason. Instead of having it rebuilt or replaced he just bought a new upright Ingersol Rand and put this outside and covered it up. It was used only like most garage guys ocasionally so its not wore out as far as I'm concerned. He is having his patio paved in stone and offered it to me for free, needed to get it out of the way asap.
Other then the motor issue it's in perfect shape. He had an auto drain pop valve so it never had much moisture in it at all. I wiped it down after these pics and it's really clean. IF and when I get another grit blast cabinet it will be a dedicated grit cabinet compressor. I think its a 80 gallon tank. It's only a 5HP single phase motor so I'm going to look into a bigger motor possibly. I already have a 7.5hp 80 gallon upright.
