Scored a K30 today.

Picked up a 78 K30 today. I got it for the Dana 60 of course. Lucked out that it has 4:10 gears so it will match my 14 bolt that I already have. King pins/wheel bearings feel good and it looks all stock, other than the big ugly Slecto hubs. Truck has a utility bed and was used for one of the local rule fire departments. Tag in the engine compartment as well as the glove box door says 400 ci but it is a BBC for sure with aluminum intake. TH400 with a 203 T-case. It's got some funky looking recaps on 16.5 stock wheel. Oh and a huge wood rats nest in the engine bay. Anyways like I said I got it for the D60 but it has some grill trim pieces I needed and the dash is in primo shape nothing cut and no cracks in the pad, even has the stock AM radio. Also I have been wanting to go hydro boost so being a 78 like my K5 it will be strait bolt in.

I feel pretty good about it actually. I did have to haul it off though. Good thing I have a wrecker at my disposal, and I did it on the clock.

I could really care less about the engine/tranny. I have a 94 K2500 that is gonna donate it's 6.5 TD/NV4500 to my build. I don't want to be filling the fuel tank left and right, so a BBC would totally be out of the question. I figure I'll get decent power and fuel economy with the 6.5, gearing will take care of everything else.
