I just scored some free 6.5" kicker rs components that a customer didnt want because one of the crossovers went bad (water damage from chitty install). so i will finally have a decent system in my blazer again

when i do a rollcage i want to get boat tower speakers for the rears (most amazing sounding speakers I have ever heard) cant remember the brand of them but they are amazing.

So me mentioning that the majority of the sound should come from in front of you probably wont go ever very well, would it? Im still having a hard time getting over the fact that the best sounding speakers you've ever heard were boat tower speakers. No offense meant, you gotta admit that's pretty funny. :D

Seriously tho, concentrate on the speakers in the front. Unless you want to be able to take the top off and blast everyone at the lake/beach/campground/where ever... then yeah, the tower speaker thing might work well.

If you hear them you might agree. Absolutely no distortion. I know the fronts are the most important, thats why I got free components for the front :thumb:

There's alot more to amazing sounding speakers than a lack of distortion.

Amp the front stage if possible. Certainly before you even consider amping any rear speakers. This includes a sub.
