I havnt picked it up yet but i got a 79 k20 350/th350/full time 203 :mad:/10b 8 lug/14bff for 100 bucks...thats right 100 BUCKS....i have no pics so no proof but it is rotted out....my plans are to use the motor and mabye the trans transfer case later down the road....pull the outers off the 10 bolt (unless its like 410s)and take the 14 bolt out....the truck prolly has 1000 lbs worth of clean steel in the back right now....after i take all the good stuff its going to scrap....im so excited LET THE TORCH FEST BEGIN!!!:D
 
Good deal, gotta love em! i'm picking up my 88 1500 4x4 tomarrow, doner truck for my trazer build, running and driving truck for 350 bucks. where did you find yours?

a buddy of mine had it sitting behind his shop...i think he got it for free but anyway he was gonna keep the 3/4 ton stuff but now he says he will never use it...i dont know about running condition actually the motor hasnt had a air cleaner or hood on it for over a year now so im gonna have to go through the motor for sure...i just hope the cylinders arent to bad...i need this motor to be an on the cheap deal...

It should have 4.10s i bought a truck that was exactly like that, and it has 4.10s oh and it should be a 44 front.

nope transition year 79 was the first year of the 10 bolt...
 
What kind of shape are those axles in? I'm only 3 hours away.
 
damn lucky dog. i have had my luck too though. i got a th400 witha np205 mated to it for free and in working condition. Came out of a old fire truck. gotta love freebies and cheapies too. So....Let the torch work begin. Nothing has that same feeling as hacking some metal up.
 
i bet it'll have a dana 44 in the front, since it has a 203 t-case. i never seen a 10 bolt with flanges. UNLESS someone already did some swapping.

Lewisburg...right on the VA border on 64....about 3 hours from Richmond. We should get together and do some wheeling when I get my stuff right. I've got a broken carrier on my 10 bolts and debating how/where to go form here.
 
well it will be about 2 weeks before i pick the truck up (vacation)....but i will be selling alot of the stuff out of it....how soon are you looking???always good to find people to go wheeling with (my rig isint done yet)but you are prolly close to penn right???

No, I'm in southern WV, due west from you...about an hour west of Lexington....basically, the middle of no where.
