a good friend of mine gave me his IH Scout 2 today. he needed the space back in his garage so he gave me this for free. it just needs a new battery and a water pump. i'm going to fix it today and take it out for a spin.

LUCKY *******!!! hahaha

Nice truck man. I always had a soft spot for those trucks. They have purdy lines...

Any plans for it??

nice, i had a buddy w/1 of those amc v8..iirc, v8 none the less..it was pretty bad arse! he blew the trans....sat in yard for yrs, then he scrapped it....it was a solid truck still!

You should go out and buy a lottery ticket, that's an awesome catch!
That thing looks nice too, most scouts I see are rusted out piles.. but then again I do live in Michigan

ditto on the specs, what kind of drive train is under it?

.

i really don't know what trans and x-case is in it, but i know the engine is the 3.2liter 4 cylinder and it has d44 axles front and back. i don't know what gear ratio is in it either. i going to try not to tamper with too much stuff in it, i'm gonna try to leave the stock engine in it. my buddy went from 31" tires to the 35" tires you see on it now, but its never been driven with the new tires. i have the battery charging right now so tomorrow i'll see how she does with the current gear ratios, i'm hoping they don't need changing. the truck seems pretty light overall, so we'll see.
