I got the 20ga all dialed in (on clays, anyway) and cleaned/lubed, got me some ammo, and my gear is sitting there in a pile waiting.

I'm gonna get up early the next few days and do some dawn scouting on the normal flyways.

Well, there were plenty of birds, but it was a comedy of errors. In the end, I got 5 in the bag tonight (only about 30 minutes of action). I'll be hitting it again this weekend whenever I can sneak out.

Oh, god, it was horrible the last time they did it while I lived there. Think it was '08 or '06. All sorts of namby pamby self righteous liberal tree hugging, bunny humping morons combined with animal rights groups, anti hunting groups, even religious groups got in on it.

You'd have thought we were going after Jesus H Christ's personal pet Peace Dove or something.

Never mind a Dove is just a pigeon with a better reputation.

I had people who I personally knew hunted and/or fished 3-4 seasons a year and were happily carnivorous tell me how bad it was to shoot Doves and that it was wrong.

****ing morons.

So glad I don't live there anymore.
