Growing up I never even wore a seat belt, so it seams a little odd to ask this. Anyway, I want to add 3-point belts to my '69 C-10. There is a boss in the pillar that looks like it should be the shoulder belt's mounting point. Can anyone confirm this? I would love to hear this is as simple as mounting some belts.

Also, while I was looking for a radio head unit I came across these:

And it seems like a good solution. They also have retractor style belts:

Anyone ever used the fixed style belts? If so, how comfortable, or uncomfortable, have you found them to be? I may just be getting old, but 70 MPH in Atlanta traffic makes me want to get this done sooner than later.

under that boss, can you tell if its reinforced? Also I think there would need to be a captured nut behind the boss to be substantial enough for impact sturdiness.

There is a captured nut or some type of insert behind the boss. No way to tell what kind of reinforcing is in the pillar, though. Not without cutting it apart, anyway. I've seen it used, I just would like to know that is what it for before I trust my life to it.

Cool, thanks for the link:waytogo:

*edit* that factory assembly manual was the type of thing I was looking for.
