The mounts for my bucket seat in my 71 blazer don't line up perfectly with the floor holes. When I bought it only 2 bolts were in. I imagine there used to be some sort of track or a bracket that I am missing. Can you guys take a look at the pictures of the current seat and tell me if it looks right or tell me what I am missing and where to get a replacement?

You are trying to bolt this othe passenger side, correct?

My passenger seat didn't have that cross bar, na d when installed mine the front brackets were flipped the opposite way (open part of bracket facing the rear of the truck). I suppose it's possible that someone took the seat brackets off and installed them backwards.

Are you 100% sure the seat is from a 1st Gen? Cant see enough of it to tell for sure but the release lever looks wrong.

The back of the seat, sure looks like the CST seats. The hardware on the bottom doesn't make much sense though. It looks like that would be the pass seat, but the handle (hook) and spring are in the middle of the seat instead of on the outside of the seat. It looks like the lever to release that seat is dead center, back.

Take a look at this thread. If that doesn't help ya, I have my buds 69 sitting at my house with the seats still in. I can take a pic if needed.

Greg - I was kind of suspecting it wasn't an original seat due to what I have seen on some other posts as far as the back latch goes, but I wasn't sure because it matches up with the rear seat (as far as upholstery goes, which could be coincidence or changed though). It is the passenger's seat, though I am thinking to use it as the drivers seat for now. The PO put a junk 80s high back chair in that is just nasty and uncomfortable to sit in. So I might make some modifications to make it fit.

NorCal - if you could take a pic that would be great. No rush, but I would appreciate the reference. You are correct on the handle, I checked out that other thread, but they seem to be differing style lever releases. Now I am wondering just where this seat actually came from.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I suspect it is from a later model year as well. The front brackets do need to have the open part towards the front to allow the seat to lean forward (at least that is how my '72 is), but I've never seen the cross bar either. The back latch looks right to me though. Mine is in the middle like that too.
Do you still have the plate that bolts to the floor for the rear of the seat to latch to?

Thanks for the replies guys.

Ashman - Yes I do have the rear part where the rear part of the seal latches to. It looks just like the one mounted to the floor on left side of the picture on SBD's first picture.

SBD - Thanks for the tip on switching the bolt pattern. That's exactly what I will try.
