Who makes a good quality oem seat reupholstry covers?

Yes I know lmc sells them, I just wanted to know from past experiences

thanks dan

You will be better off to get a good upholstry shop to just recover them.
I ordered some from Classic Ind. and they where very cheap and didn't look like the factory covers in the catalog.
I'm having mine done now. I did order factory material to have them done in, but you could just get a good fabric and have them done.

Teck, do you have any pics of your recovered seats? I only need my driver's side repadded and am debating reusing the original fabric since I probably won't find an upholstery shop that will be able to match the passenger seat (which is in perfect condition).

You ordered and provided the shop the factory material or just told them thats what you wanted?

if you bought it...from where?

This is where I got mine from. Haven't installed them but they are high quality stuff. I was really impressed with their customer service, they called me when they didn't think the colors were quite right. I had not got samples and they didn't just make the seat but made sure I would be happy with the end product.

Upholstery shops in my area wanted a ton of money to cover my seats

I wonder how difficult it would be to make the seat covers. All one one need is a good source for leather or vinyl, a sewing machine and patterns.

This is them right after I put them back in. I do where to get the fabric but it is not cheap. PM me if you would like for me to hook you up with the guy that did my seats. The fabric is glued to the seat cushion so it has to be steamed off, if the fabric is in good shape they can remove it and fix the foam.

You have to unsew the old ones to make patterns on the new material to sew together. Then the late model seats use a sterch material and are glued down in the center, so the are a pain in the as* to do(that is what the guy that did mine said ).

Dang I called every single local place around and they were talking 450 just for one bench seat, without any foam repair. Plus two shops I went to they were smoking there.

This is how they looked before they where done.

Those seats are pretty similar to mine.
Is your Blazer a M1009 or a Custom Deluxe?

Mine is a custom deluxe, the ulphostery is in very good shape except for the driver´s seat .
I can,t find the vinyl covers for those seats.
LMC truck,Classic ind etc only have for the Silverados with cotton covers and so.

Mine look good, few imperfections on drivers and definately needs foam replaced/repaired like where you would slide in on that side.

I have been looking for some suburban seats with an armrest to have recovered and maybe swap with mine. Going from my silverado to the Jimmy I miss having an armrest...havent made up my mind on this though

PM sent.

Here is some more pics of my seats after they where recovered. And it doesn't show well but it does have the pattern fabric in middle just like they come from the factory.

Wow that thing looks really clean in the pics. Would like another one that is that clean for my son. Just don't think I can give him my when he turns 16.

Here are the fabric # for the seat ya'll have asked for.

Blue: solid: 1470 stretch 6452
pattern: 5448 stretch 6448

DK. Maple (RED) solid: 1513 stretch 6454
pattern 371 stretch 6449

Dk. med. gray solid: 4444 stretch 6455
pattern: 5452 stretch 6451

Lt. saddle solid: 4445 stretch 6453
pattern: 5449 stretch 6450

Here is where I got it from SMS auto fabric 503-263-3535
You will need the stretch for the molded seat in a K5.
I ordered stretch in both for mine. I think that only the solid needs to be stretch, to rap around the cushions

I added a center seat in the front and wanted to recover all 3 fronts. All the shops locally quoted about $250 per seat. That's actually about the price of new aftermarket front seat sets.
