could someone measure the seat height on their 72 truck, or suburban please. I am using the seats from my 84 donor truck and they are too low. I will need to build them up a little and I was just wondering what height the stock seats are. Just floor pan to top of seat please. I can take it from there.

I would like to know that as well, running silverado seats at the moment.

Has anyone got stock seats in their truck anymore? Ha!

I removed one of the captains chairs from the donor suburban today and sat it in the passenger side of the 72. Seemed low but still ok. I was just wondering what it "should" be.

These are some quick pics just running out to the k5. If you need exact. I can work on getting better ones. My rubber mat kind of swells up around where the seat mounts to the floor.

Interesting observation. 84 suburban captains chairs with the bracket tabs bent flat on the floor measure 11" seat height. A 2" block will bring it to proper ride height.

Did you sit in it to see how it feels?
I think that it could make a difference on the foam density, and the individual person.

It felt a little low to me just sitting on the floor. Although I could see over the hood just fine. A couple inches in rise would be about perfect I think.

Don't forget to close the door and stick your head and arm out.
I have to play with it some and stew about it before I am happy.
