i just got in my truck to move it and the seat tilted back....i thot the recline was broke or soemthing but i rocked it a little and saw the carpet pulling up

i get under the tuck and my left front seat mount has rusted a hole around it. There is nothing holding it down.

WHat should i do?

Time to break out the welder! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Cut out the rusted section of the floor and then weld in some new sheet metal. Oh yeah, be sure to remove the carpet and padding first, so ya don't set your truck on fire. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I recently had the same problem, so I picked up some sheetmetal and Im getting ready to weld it right over the old stuff, make sure you grind all the rust off.

i need to redo the whole floor

but i dont have a welder, sheetmetal, or the knowhow, lol

lets just hope it holds together

anyone know what a 6x6" piece of sheet metal and someone to weld it would run?

I would charge 25 to 50 bucks depending on how bad the rust was....
california is a long way in the full recline position however

i just hope it holds together...not a very financially abundant period of the year
