Anyone ever order from 1A Auto ( www.1aauto.com ) ? I've been trying to match my original seats in my 73' K5 as best as possible and these guys seem to have what I'm looking for. I've got cloth inserts on the originals and been having a hard time finding someone who carries the same. I've dealt with LMC and a few of the other better know Chevy guys but never 1A so I figured I'd check. I'd rather pay a little extra for a good match than deal with the hassle of returning stuff. Here's a direct link to the seat upholstery:

Thanks

If you end up buying from them how about posting a status report. I've been trying to get the seats in my '87 reupholstered and am having a hard time finding someone over here on the coast that will do it. I'm been thinking about trying over in Orlando. Any recommendations? I'm like you, I'd rather pay to get a good job done first time around.

There are a few places over here that I'm thinking of using for the re-upholstery work. From speaking with them, it's a hell of a lot cheaper if I can find the upholstery prefabricated and have them install. If they have to make something from scratch its $$$$!

I had my seats done locally at about 200bux each. THey turned out really good and can even add some foam inside to add lumbar or side support.

Ill get some pics up when I get home. They matched the color really well, youd never know it wasnt org.

I bought a bunch of stuff from 1A Auto when I was restoring my '83 C10, not upholstery, but they were good to deal with and quick shipping . . .

What kind of prices have you been quoted? I live on Merritt Island and I've gotten 3 quotes so far ($250, $200 and $225 per seat) and when the guy who quoted me $200 found the material (at $15.99/yd) he decided to try and charge me $400 per seat! Hell we can buy new seats for that. If there's a top quality place in Orlando I'd like to talk with them.

I bought a door handle from them once. Didn't have any problems and they shipped it out really fast.

LoL..yeah yeah. hold on........have to resize them, they were like desktop size. lol.

What year is your Blazer? My seats look a little different. I can't seem to post the photos here so here's a like to an album on Webshots where you can find them http://rides.webshots.com/album/409519609Hazfae

I gave up being a 'full' member because they could never solve the problems I was having viewing photos.

I'd say you did pretty good for $200. Did you have to remove the seats and take them to their shop or did they R&R them?

I removed them, it was easy to just put them in my workvan , run by during work and drop them off.

Mine is 84 chevy
