Anyone have a creative fix for this thing or know where I can get one? I don't know what it's called, but it's the little plastic button on your lower B-pillar seatbelt spool. It sticks out into the doorsill and draws up the slack in the seatbelt when you open the door. Come to find out, it doesn't ratchet like it's supposed to if this button doesn't work. It just thinks the door is open all the time.

It's made of plastic, and as you can see, mine is toast. I thought about sleeving it with some thin tubing, but the plunger doesn't have enough clearance around the OD of the plastic button.

I dont know but just to save you some hassle. the LMC replacement belt kits works great and installs in the same position and is alot smoother. :D

Want mine? I have 4 point harnesses now.

Maybe. They wouldn't happen to be maroon would they?

I know. I'm considering getting new ones. I know they work better, but they are a universal type, no? The rest of my interior is kinda freshly restored. Do they even have the door button or just inertia ratchet?

No door button, you'd have to put a plug in the hole.

I'll offer mine up for free if you want shipping or try to take apart and send you what you need if you cover shipping. otherwise there going in trash.

The more I look at, it's gonna be a PITA to fix just that plunger. It doesn't look easily removable and the plastic cover is riveted on. Unless one of you guys has a set of maroon ones, I may just go with new style.

Other than putting a rubber plug in the door jam area, youll really like the new ones, so much smoother, etc.

Man, one of these days I'm gonna get a reply to a post that doesn't require me to spend more money.

New belts it is, I guess. Do I need to get the hardware kit, or does it just bolt up with the old stuff? The LMC kit, that is.

Also, I have the "buckle your seatbelt" sensor for the driver's seat. Anybody keep that functional or just jump it out and never worry about it again?

MIne are gray

Thanks man. No need now since I just ordered a new set. I will say, I wish my interior was gray. It would be much easier to find some other OEM seats that work, etc. There's so much red/maroon velour in mine, it looks like the playboy mansion.

I ripped all of my trim out. The 30 year old "brand new" paint looks much nicer.
