Hi All,

I recently bought a 75 Blazer that has turned out to be a mish mash of parts from Various years...

Anyway one of the must change parts are the seats, the current ones barely stay in place and are beat to heck.

I have quite a few Pick-A-Parts in my area and was wondering if anyone could give some advice as to what seats would fit well in my Blazer.

So far I have found a nice set from a Ram 1500 that are Power and 60\40 Split with a center console?

Should I be looking at Suburban, newer Tahoe, trucks...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

J

The blazers are so damn big and the floors are pretty much flat so if your willing to customize you can put anything in there pretty much. For example im running corbeau off road racing seats after alot of drilling and bolting it down in several places it works great.

Suburban and truck floors are quite different than 73-77 Blazer floors, mine were trashed in my 75 but the seat bases were good, I ended up using bucket seats out of a midsize Chevy car and the original bases and anchoring points.

Take a look at seats out of an Astro Van...

I was looking at them a while back, the looked like they might work... But, I never got around to measuring for fit...

I ended up building some brackets to make some toyota car seats work that I had laying around...

Now I'm running plastic racing seats, bolted to my cage...

Thanks for all the input.

I think I am going to go with a 40/20/40 split bench from a 1999 Dodge Ram. They will fit width wise and have the seat belts already mounted into the seats. From the looks of the Ram profile they should bolt in with very little trouble.

I'll post pics once I get them in along with any details on the adaptation.
