I like the seats in my 1980 K5 but I would like it to be sitting higher. Does anyone know of a product that can raise the height of the seat itself (driver and passenger?

I'm seeing some products but nothing for a K5. If anyone has a link or any direction it would be much appreciated.

I helped a guy install rectangular tubing for spacers under his. Seems like it was 1"×2" to get a wide foot print and an inch of lift. 3/16" wall thickness to keep it from collapsing. You could possibly find plastic that is thick enough. Then it's easy to drill and have a solid spacer.
I have bought some 1.5" thick before.

I used UHMW blocks for a drivers seat lift. I have 1" on the front of the seat, and 1 1/2" on the rear. This raised the seat up, and also tilted it forwards, for more comfort. I would raise it higher, but my brother, and all of my friends are taller than me. LOL

. I took a piece of scrap, and with four 90 degree bends, and a hinge, not only did I lift the seat a bit, but I gained some fairly secure storage. I also used some aluminum solid bar stock as suggested by 6872xtc so you can see that idea in use also. I've never had an issue, and it keeps you from walking around with phone book pages stuck to your butt on hot days.

That is some really great work you did.

You don't happen to have an extra set just hanging around taking up space lol

But this is a great setup and thabk you for sharing. It's very helpful

The bar stock will be coming out once I get some new flooring. My storage door was hanging up on the big ripple in the rubber flooring, so I just stuck the blocks under to lift it a bit until I get the flooring to lay flat. All jokes aside, I feel like the visibility is much better sitting about 3 inches higher...it's much easier to know where the front of the truck is if I can see the edge of the hood. If you're using stock seats, you can just get a longer bolt and use a spacer...as you can tell, I swapped seats, so the new bracket was an easy way to get the holes lined up.

Gotta love Glocks. Not the most accurate but they are definitely the most reliable.

Do you have a problem? Meet Mr. Glock and he can solve your problems.

An inch either way and you are still on this side of the dirt...My wife's Springfield is stupid accurate so I put the Crimson trace on my Glock. Something about that red dot makes people think twice.

Nice work by the way.
