im new to the site.i was just wondering what you guys prefer. bucket seats or a bench seat? the only reason why im asking is .my 86 blazer has the stock buckets and there fine. but i borrowed my nabors k-20 and that thing had a bench seat .and was so dam comfy. i want to know if anyone has ever put a bench seat in there k-5 ?will it mount up to the factory mounting holes ?and which one is better for off road?

i know the bench seat will be better for sex.... :D

Back in the day I always liked the bench cause I could load up the cab full of girls and would also double as other furniture but now I am putting racing seats in for the weather and restraint purposes.

With the right fabricated mounts, you can put any seat you want in there. I've never seen a bench in a stock blazer. I don't know if they exist or not.

yea you would have to fab some mounts to get a diffrent seat to work, because the mounts changed over the years and the styles.

why not fold up the back seat and put pillows and blankets in the back for the ladies?

Ok, I gotta ask this.... wouldn't it impress her more if it was clean.... and isn't it easier to clean it than to install new seats?
:D

well i just put the seat in .and it fit in all the factory mounting holes.so i dident haft to make mounting brackets. it is so dam comfortable. but now i dont have a center consel .no big deal .

stock blazer bench

i've seen three blazers in the junk yard with a stock front bench seat, but the middle section actually folded down into a cup holder/ arm rest. not 100% on the stock factor, but the fabric matched the interior and the rear seat.

seet down...

I removed a "home built" bucket seat/console setup from my 74 K20 before I scrapped it,because it has the maroon bucket seats that match the interior of my 82 K20 AND my 79 C10--but so far,I havent been able to part with the bench seat in either truck!..the buckets were OK,but they stand up nearly straight, and dont go back far enough for my liking(I'm 6'4")-and I had to put a chevy cavaleir steering wheel on so I could fit my legs under it!--

-I needed the console for all my tools and junk I carried in the 74 more than I needed bucket seats...even though the bench seats are a bit tattered(I have "Indian Blanket" seat covers on them)..I prefer them over the buckets for comfort...and if I ever do find a girlfriend, not having "birth control" seats will be quite desireable.. :wink1: :D

se you know what im talking about .im 6'3 and i have an aftermarket steering wheel to .b/c when i reach for the clutch my nee hits the dam thing.and that van was gay that thing wont even fit down that trail.
