So I drove a couple hundred miles in the Blazer last week and my butt was killing me! I obviously need a new seat or get the one I have fixed.
I was quoted from $130-150 to redo the driver's seat with more cushion and lumbar support. Does this sound about right?
A new seat might be nice, but what seat could I buy that would be good for long trips as well not requiring fabrication to install?

if i were you try finding a used seat out of a new silverad/tahoe/burb/ect and fab some mounts up and use that. might be a tad more expensive but would look awesome and might even be heated!

The fabrication I'm capable of is limited to drilling new holes; cutting and welding aren't on the table for me. What is required to install these newer seats?

See if you can find a set of buckets out of a 94-01 Ram. VERY nice seats. Even one of their split benches would be a nice upgrade.
