could someone repost or send me the how to on the jeep cherokee steering mod , please . this would be a great help . i saved it once but my computer ate it . i think . please help .

thank you in advance .

The XJ steering shaft writeup is in the Tech Articles section.

i looked there

i looked there but it is for the pitman arm for the cross over steering , not the piece between the steering box and the steering colum is the one i need. i know the cherokee is the jeep to get it from . may need the years again to . but i have lost the write up on it . i wish i would have moved it to my laptop . there was something special you had to do get it to mount , but it was really easy to do . thank you you for the reply , but i dont think we are talking about the same thing . maybe my termanollagy is wrong . it has been in the past . i was hoping to get this before i go to the junk yard playground .

thank you for any help in advance . thank for all replies

Umm, the fourth article down says "XJ Shaft". I think that's what you're looking for, though your punctuation is a bit vague ;)

ok now i am lost .

i looked there but the 4th one down is the quick release door pins . maybe i can not see it i may need to be a member . i guess i will have to get the wife to let me use the credit card to become one . but nomally someone else asks the same question i am thinking about and i just read the article . you guys really dont know how much this form has helped me working things .

thank you in advance for helping , all replies welcome .

You don't want the sector shaft you want the steering shaft. The sector shaft is what the pitman arm is hooked to. The sector shaft is inside the steering box which is bolted to the frame. The steering shaft is bolted between the steering box and the steering column.

Pay up it's worth it.
