DIVORCE SUCKS! If it comes down to it and I have to let it go what do you all think I can get for it?

It's an 87 with 3/4 ton running gear. Been in my family since it was brand new in 87. I hate to let it go but might have to. Any ideas how much I might be able to get for it?

original owner that's awesome! cant help with the pricing i wouldn't know where to start. but nice rig man good luck on the sale!

I hate to say it, but the way these things usually work out, you'd make more money parting it out. That would be a sad end to a nice clean truck. :(

That is one super nice blazer. Looks great. Here's my $.02.
I have been going throug a divorce now for about 10 months. Luckily for me/us it is looking very promising and seems as thought things are going to work out within our marriage. Lots of counseling, etc. Anyways, the divorce was about as amicable (sp) as you would ever see between two people getting a divorce and my wife knows how much I love to drive and tinker with my '72 Blazer. I the settlement she agreed to let me have the blazer (among other assets) woth no strings attached. During the hard times of the divorce and I figured once it was complete that the blazer would be a great way for my mine to excape the hurt feelings a divorce will cause. If possible, try to keep it. If not for theraputic reasons then because you eill never get out of it what you put into it.

I will do everything I can do to keep it especially since my 4 year old son already calls it his Blazer. :( I can't stand the thought of having to sell it but I am trying to plan ahead and be prepared as much as possible for my kids.

That blazer is clean. If you need to sell it so that it's no longer an asset to deal with in a divorce then sell it to a family member real cheap with a written agreement that once your divorce is final you can buy it back for either the same amount it was sold for or a reasonably agreed upon price for "their troubles".

That sounds like an awesome way to keep a sweet toy! Maybe will it to your son?

Okay check this out.....

It's similiar to yours but not quite, try and keep it if you can because you'll always regret it and sometimes the other half just wants to hurt you (especially if they think it's your fault and sometimes they just like to do it because they can). I'm going through a divorce right now and it's not fun, especially since she's the one who initiated it. Take it out, pound it and put a rod threw the side of the block.... Funny I killed the motor in my collector car driving the crap out of it, while on a divorce rehab roadtrip (what's the fine in Oregon for getting caught speeding along at 135mph?) I had it valued by an appraiser and of course it was worth a lot less and I really didn't mean to do it either, tell you though it sure felt good......

i never go by what people are asking, go on ebay and check past auctions to get a idea of what they sold for. around here k5 prices suck.

if i had to quote you a price... if i was looking for something like that. maybe 4000. it almost seems when you buy a k5 its basically your paying for the engine/trans/transfercase, tires and axles, the rest really dont add up to much

my k5 is in decent shape with one ton running gear and id be lucky to get 2000 for it. which is why ill never sell it :p:

Wow. This is the 2nd "fishing" post in as many days.

The only thing different between this post and a "For Sale" post is a price.

Try again, and follow the rules this time. :deal:
