So putting the burb up for sale. It just usnt gonna be what I want it to be.

Getting replaced with a 2wd big block burb.

Why a 2wd burb? Cause they are CHEAP.

So.....gonna clean the burb up really good. Not fixing the rust. Clean up the engine.

I need seat covers and I'm thinking floor mats.

What else. There are a couple things that don't work. I will be trying to get to those. I have all the parts to fix it.

So in a for sale add what do you like to see?

Best way to take pics?

I'm gonna try for 1800 for it, doubt I'll get that but it makes people feel good when they can talk you down some

I like to either list every possible bit of information I can with a "PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE CONTACTING ME" at the top of the ad, and take 4-8 pics at good angles to show multiple sides of the truck at once, or I would put:

19XX Suburban, Diesel, Auto, 4X4, Runs good, mileage, price

And then take like 20 pics.

I hate it when I read an ad like:

I got this suburban for for sale, I have had it for 15 years, always been a good truck, you can take it anywhere, would be good for a work truck, i bought something else so I don't need it anymore.

:weapon19:Ad's that don't give any information that helps anyone, other than the seller getting to ramble for a bit. :chainsaw2:

And make sure your bill of sale says that the vehicle comes with absolutely no gaurantees or warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied, sold as is.

Write as little detail as needed. Year, make, model, engine side and mileage. Don't list every little thing wrong with it or the gazillion new parts it has in it. Both scream that the vehicle is junk.

Only list issues if they are with critical main components like the engine, transmission or drivetrain. Let them figure out all the smaller issues that come with buying an older vehicle and deal with it on their own.

Make no mention of dents, rust, scratches etc. Put up good pictures and let folks come to their own conclusions on condition.

List price should be higher than not. Folks tend to spend more money on less of a vehicle because a high asking price implies a higher quality vehicle. Just don't be stupid and list it for Barret Jackson prices!

I listed my 2009 Dodge ram as:

2009 Dodge Ram 1500 crew short. 183k. 5.7L/auto. Asking $11k obo

and sold it within a week.

Good pictures of important things. I hate looking at ads and seeing the awesome back window sticker collection, or the brand new chrome air cleaner just put on, but I can't see the rockers or anything underneath.
