Well, I've decided to sell my '89. I don't have the time to take care of it . I drive 30 miles to work one way, too much. $35/week in gas. So I figure before the body tranny, or engine go bad I better get what I can. It books out at $5,600 but I think I'll park it at the mall (Frederick, MD) and ask $7,000 (you never know).

Engine 140k
tranny 80k
Black w/grey int., power windows/door locks, AC,....
Painted in mid 90's, looks good
4" springs (no blocks)
35" BFGoodrich ATs
Tranny cooler, temp gauge, drain plug
Sandblaster and painted underside in 1999 (corolis and krylon)
Brush on bedliner on interior floor, inner fenders, and tailgate
New carpet in 1999
New inner fender panels (1 week old)
Replaced weather stripping on the top and rear window
Billet Aliminum Grill
new parking light bezels
........numerous other items

I'm near Montgomery County MD, one of the richest areas in the country. Maybe some kid will make his daddy buy it for him at a good price, but if not I'll just see what I can get.

Sounds like ya got a cool truck. Sorry you have to let it go. Can't you save up for an economy car and use that as a toy? My sister in law just bought a nice 93 honda civic for 3400.

i want to see a picture, of what my truck is trying to become. where did you get the weather stripping for the rear window, i need it for the rear and both front.
good luck
chris

I thought about the economy car deal, but I'm not driving on the interstate here (and the beltway) in a little car. Especially after years of driving a K5. Besides, I would have 3 cars to wash, wax, change the oil, 12 tires to replace,...... I'd rather just buy something new.

I gotr the weather stripping for the rear window from GM outside - part #327005, I don't have the number the the inner.

Heheheh. I might just take a trip out to Fredneck to see your rig. I am in the columbia/ellicott city area.

$35 a week? I spend that every time I fill up. About 3-4 times a week. Bite the bullet, keep the Blazer!

If they book at over $5000 then I got a deal when I bought my 89 Jimmy. Got it a month ago and it is in nice shape for $3500. I did have to look around for a good deal though. $35 a week is not bad, it cost me about $25 a week for my wives 4 popper in her Sunbird.

Ya, I doubt I'll get that much for it, but I'll start there and see what happens.

I wrote $35/wk, but its every 4 days. If it was per week I wouldnt have a problem.

Yeah, I know the feeling. My '90 takes $15 every three days (can't stand the pain of full fill-up). I have to use mine now for my job but just can't give it up. Now I'm back to driving the Bronco II to help out (16mpg is sure better than 11mpg) but then it just sits. Oh well, it may sit but I still have it.

Top it off and refill at 1/2 tank..a lot easier on the wallet. I drive 20mi. each way to work - freeway - and at 75 it sure eats the gas...

What was that bump?

You guys are cracking me up!

Put in $20 every 2 days, cause it doesn't cost as much as putting in $40 every 4 days. ROTFL!!!!

Matt, your complaining over 11mpg?!?! Jeezman, I wish I got that. I'm getting 8.5 now. Costs me 40 bucks about every 2 weeks (I don't drive much) I went from 20 bucks to fill the honda and getting 20+mpg to 40 to fill the blazer and getting -10mpg

all in all I'd say an excellent trade
