okay so me and a couple of my friends are starting a magazine up here in northern california. our ultimate goal is to have it be mostly reader submissions. like reader trail writeups, rigs, etc. what we need to get this off the ground (we already have a couple rigs submitted from some folks back east, and we already talked to some 4x4 fabrication and parts companies and their going to back us up and advertise so it's coming along pretty well) is reader submissions. if you have any gnarly stories, trail pictures, rig pictures, gear info, or just anything at all then send them to me! and we will put them in the mag. of corse send me your name and location, rig specs, etc etc (the more details the better) I already pm'ed Steve and he's cool with it as long as we give credit to ck5 for every user submission. so be sure to put in your email that you're from ck5!

go ahead. start sending. and i'll post back here and let you guys know the progress and when we get our website up.

address is without spaces:

nor 4x4 cal [at] gmail [dot] com.

thanks guys!

p.s. feel free to post on this thread too just if you plan to submit a ton of high res pictures please consider emailing.

Sounds like a good idea. Now if I had something interesting to write about and a truck that was worth looking at....

Same here

I am a good writer (so I'm told by my instructors), but I don't think I have enough trail and rig knowledge to do anything for you.

I could send you a picture of my Jimmy, but it's really nothing special...

And if it got published you'd have to send me a copy of it ;)

Thats awesome! I would love to submit my crew cab build but it would have to be a several year project. I will say, feel free to use anything from my blog you want though. Theres a few things in there but not uber cool tech stuff.

OH YEA! let us know how when where and why on subscriptions.

Are you looking for more 'back east' stuff?

We do several planned trips every year with fairly large groups, could pull something from any of those for your mag.

Bunch of crazy's so good pics generally aren't a problem. :smirk:

Mine is a little further than that, like 40 feet it looks awesome. Oh and only from the driver's side.:D:o
Well mine is better from the pass side , I still have a rust/primered spot over the rear drivers tire.
So from 10 feet on the pass side and 20 ft on the drivers side.

wow that must of sucked. how long did it take you guys to get it out?

btw everyone send me your stuck pictures and how you got there, and how long it took to get out and the damage. we're going to do a monthly stuck section

it took from about 8pm that night till 5pm the next day. lowest temp of the year at 21*F. took a 96 furd powerstroke, 03 cummins, 99 dodge gasser, XJ winching tied to the 03 cummins, and finally a superduty with a 10k winch and a snatch block. backwards then forwards then sideways. long night. we discussed me getting mud tires on several occasions.
you need to email those pics? or just save?

wish i had some wheel's pics to give ya.

edit: heres the best i got haha. guy got stuck trying to drive to his house while towing his bike on his trailor, so i helped him out...silly toys
