ok while dropin my tank the wire ripped out of the sending unit. clean out of the plastic peice. so nothin is stickin out. is there any way to fix it or do i need to get another unit? thanx jeff

Probably best to get another sender. Really don't want gas coming out of a hole there, and since the tank creates pressure, it may FORCE it's way out of the weakest link.
