will a sending unit from a TBI engine fit into a carbed fuel tank? I know there is no baffeling in a carbed tank but i am looking for a temp fix because my gas tank is in pretty good shape.

It should....

I put an 87 EFI RH tank on the Left side of my 74 K20,and the sending unit from my old tank fit perfect in the hole the EFI pump came out of..cant recall if I had to move any baffles or not..I think I had to file another "keyway" in my sending unit so the hoses pointed the right way,but that was because I put a passenger side tank on the drivers side..other that that,it fit the hole, and the lock ring fit perfectly..not sure if any later than '87 tanks will be the same,I doubt it..

If we are talking '73-87, and 88-91 R/V, then yes, they will fit, *same capacity tank*

That's what you think now, when those guys with Q-jets keep climbing and you stall out because you've got a quarter of a tank.... :)

Be interesting to hear your results though, they seem to be pretty varied...when I put a 403 in my car (original 307) 1/4 tank of gas meant I couldn't accelerate hard from a light on flat ground. That was with an "unbaffled" tank as well.
