I have found a 31 gallon tank in primo shape for a great price with the sending unit. its from an 89 blazer.

my question is can I bypass the in tank fuel pump so I can make it work on my mechanical fuel pump carbed '72?

i would buy a block off plate and bolt to motor.

then get a regulator with return port to return on tank. set to 3-5 psi for carb . wire in with fuse to pump and ing switch. no more heat soak fuel lock.

or just swap to a reg 31 gal non efi sender.
