putting in new tank n straps so im going to put in a new sending unit, new lines, and fuel pump. ? is does it matter if i get a sending unit that is made for a man trans or a auto? and some units doesnt spec which trans. does it all matter? i do have a man trans thou.

What year? For the 70's they came with a different number of outlets. Also they came with differnt sized tubes. I think all the aftermarket senders are made in china.

Got the tank n straps both from rock n the tank is spec brand. Th lines I'm bending myself. N the sending unit is 4 outlets. Just need to find out the difference between a automatic n a man n non specified sending unit.

I've never heard of a sending unit difference between a manual or auto trans, as long as the sending unit is made for the depth of tank you're running then you just need a 0-90 ohm sender to work with the GM fuel gauge.
