Carnage In Clayton
1. Date: September 22, 2001 Rain or Shine, no rain out date.
2. Rules:
5 on 5 Big Dawg Challenge:
Participants to be chosen by Club/Motley Group by whatever method they so see fit.
Roster of participants to be due One Hour before first event start time.
Groups will flip coin to decide which group goes first.
Each group will determine their running order, with a vehicle from each group alternating
The compitition is a team event, each team member consists of one driver, one spotter and one vehicle. If any member of that trio can not continue, then that member recieves a DNF.
ARCA Course Rules for Scoring
Rig Safety Rules as follows:
Run what you brung with the following exceptions:
Roll Cage with Front Hoop or full Factory Metal Hardtop
Seatbelts are manditory, Harnesses Recommended
Fire Extenguisher
Vehicle must have factory VIN Number
Vehicle must be insured, proof will be required
First Aid Kit
Winch
Tow Points Front and Rear
Battery Tie Down either Factory or aftermarket
Vehicle must supply own recovery gear
Vehicle must not have any loose items in vehicle that could endanger driver or spectator
Vehicle and Driver/spotter deemed to be in safe operating Condition by Judge
3. Big Dawg Entry Fee: $50 Per Rig, nonrefundable, Due August 1. Checks to be made payable to SWFWDA Robledo Land Fund.
4. Prize: Winning Club/Motley Group has all monies raised from event donated to SWFWDA Robledo Land Fund in thier Name. Each of the 5 Team members to recieve a trophey.
5. The individual with the least amount of cumlitive points for the day will win Prize as determined by AFM. The individual with the most amount of cumlitive points for the day will recieve the booby prize as determined by AFM. DNF or DQ participants are ineligible to win the booby prize.
6. Drinking by participants and spectators will be frowned upon. The Judge will have the sole authority to DQ any participant due to his/her inability to operate vehicle safely.
7. The Judges rulings on any matter are final. No appeals process will be in place, period. The Judge will have broad authority to point out any participant under the Safe Operating Condition rule.
8. Tread Lightly Rules will be in effect.
9. The actual course will be layed out by the Judge(s).
Little Dawgs:
Three Classes, Stock (31" Tires and Below), Modified (34" Tires and Below), Outlaw (anything goes) All vehicles must have current liability insurance, proof will be required.
Little Dawgs will run a timed course best suited for thier level of modification.
Instead of being a timed course with the fastest time winning, the driver will have two runs at the course, the person with the smallest time differential between runs will be determined the winner.
No vehicle will be allowed to shift beyond 2nd gear while on course.
No watches, GPS or other timing devices will be allowed to be in vehicle.
Spotters are allowed to ride.
$15 Entry Fee, due up to day of event.
Each Class winner to win a trophey.
All participants will recieve a Carnage In Clayton Sticker
Any driver/spotter caught cheating by using a timing device driving an unsafe speed will be DQed.. This is not a race, but rather an event to test drivers ability to maintain a consistant time.
Schedule:
Either 6pm Friday or 6 am Saturday Club officials meet to lay out courses
Saturday
8:00 On site check in and registration
9:00 am Drivers Meeting Rosters of Big Dawgs due. Drawing for Starting Positions
9:15 Leave Clayton and head to Trails
10:15 am First Big Dawg Run
12:15 Lunch on trails
12:45 Little Dawg Runs begin
3:15 Second Big Dawg Run
7:00 Dinner back in town
8:00 Raffle
Note, stragglers will be left behind. If each group wishes to leave someone
behind to make sure they find thier way, so be it, but 9:15 we will pull out
of Clayton proper.
The schedule can be negotiated somewhat...but we want the compitition events
to be over in one day, get on to some wheeling on Sunday and try to get home
at a decent time.
All participants to sign waiver of liability form either at Registration or day of event. No exceptions.
ALL monies recieved from this event will be donated to SWFWDA Robledo Lawsuit Fund.
If enough interest is given, Event T-Shirts will be sold on a pre-order basis only.
There will be a raffle the night of the event with many sponsers donating some very cool prizes.
