So seriously. What are the pros and cons about running a dually 60 up front and 3" spacers on the rear 14 bolt with H2's and 35" tires and 4" lift. Its not a hard core trail rig and not a DD. Just a weekend street, forest roads and mild trail rig (hole in the rock, hells revenge, pearl pass ect.) with the family. I know overkill but I already have the 60.

So some will say hard on the wheel bearings because of the wide stance (about 88" up front & about 85" for the rear)but with little use will this be a big issue?

More stability with the wider stance right?

What about sheet metal? Its a pretty clean rig with mild trimming at the lower front corners. How much trimming and would a 1" body lift help without the trimming?

It seems like all who run the dually 60 go with H1 wheels and rear spacers.

Seriously what is your honest input with a small budget in mind with how I will use the rig.

The reason for the 60 is to replace the 44 with the external hub that keeps loosening up. And it would be an extra cost to replace with internal hubs.

All input and pics would be welcome.

Thanks,
Brian

The 60 is probably plenty strong as far as bearings go but it will change your turning radius and may make it harder to steer overall (at least at low speeds)

Plus the tires will stick out alot, so you will get crap all over everything. Like not being able to see out the side windows at all after going through a small puddle.

There is someone on here who has done it, I remember seeing pics and the tires stuck way out

H2 wheels would end up having 1" backspace

I am doing this right now. On my 77 k-30 dually The h1s bolted right up with the 37" Goodyears and only stick out about 4" from the fenders. I am going to trim my fenders and add the bushwhacker flares at some point. Looks great and have spoken to several who have done it with no problems.

He wants to use H2s not H1s

How far is to far or how wide is too wide? H2's on my 44 are 82" wide with 35" tires just inside the fender. The h2's on the dually 60 are 88ish wide with 35" tires about 4" out side the fender.
