There are 2 idler pulleys on my set-up. 1 is for the tension adjuster and 1 just sits there under the a/c unit for the belt to be routed around. What I'm trying to find out is if BOTH those wheels are the same one?

I don't know if this makes a difference or not but this is on a 4.3L V6 and mine are both the same size or VERY close to being the same size without actually measuring them.

usually they're different, one goes inside the belt and the other runs on the backside of the belt.

edit... I've been smoking too much crack lately, they're both on the backside of the belt, but usually the one under the a/c (the idler) has sides on it, and the one up top (the tensioner) doesn't.

Ok, I bought 2 new pulley wheels (the tensioner one is a bit bigger than the idler wheel). Changing the idler wheel was a piece of cake. How in the hell do you get the tensioner wheel changed?
