anybody know if the serpentine brackets from a vortec motor bolt up to an earlier non vortec motor?

from just looking at pictures on Google, I'd say no. Type it in yourself and look for mounting locations. It's the best way to get a rough estimate

Depending what Vortec you are talking about. If you are looking at a 1996-2002 Vortec L31 5.7L or even current 4.3L…then yes, the serpentine brackets will fit an older small block. Newer LS engines are entirely different and will not fit.
