I bought the 15" BBCS's that jek had for sale and now I need to set them up. I'm running 6" lift springs up front with DIY4X B52 kit and my shackle hanger moved forward (I was running 52's up front, but then switched back to lift springs). With the way I have it set up my axle is 2" forward from the stock location. I know this combo isn't going to flex like my 52's, but my current shocks limited my flex, so these 15" shocks should fix that.
So I have ford shock towers I'm going to install, how much up travel should I allow for? I don't have a place to flex it out to measure. From the threads I've seen on here, most run 4-5" of up travel.
Another thing is my brake lines come through the frame were I plan to mount my shock towers. Is it popular to move them some how? If so does anyone have any examples of how they did it?

Well I just flexed it on a tree in my yard, I've got about 4" up travel until my spring is flat and my rear tire is starting to come off the ground. I have the same amount of droop and the springs are limited by the clamps that wrap around them.
So I'll set them up for 5" of up travel and arrange my bump stops accordingly.

What type of shock towers? Older cast iron ones or the stamped steel? I just did mine with the stamped ones. Pics are toward the end of my build thread...
