I know this is a dumb question and has probably been asked before. i have a 97 chevy z71 and i was wondering about how much it costs in total to do a sfa swap using the ford dana60:doah:

All depends on how much you can find stuff and fab stuff for. Got my HP60 for $100, ORU waste of money kit $850 w/shipping, springs from a junkyard, made the crossover, but arm cost me $100, brake lines aboot $75, shocks $25 each. If you play your cards right, have access to stuff, and get can them cheap, you can do the SAS cheap. I'm gonna make my own brackets and sell the ORU's to recover some of the cost.

yeah if you have access to all the tools and have the ability to make everything you'll end up well under that number.

not to mention most people dont find hp60's for $100 lol. still spendy to fully build though.

i paid $1K for my 60, and bought SFA brackets... like i said, im gonna be under that number building a whole truck from the frame up. i dont own a welder or a set of torches, hell, i dont even own a trailer to take it somewhere to have the work done.

yeah im just going by the figures of the couple guys i've watched do this over the last couple years. (members: Dark Eternal and Bggrnchvy)
