This is essentially my first post so take it easy on me. I'm sure this same question has been asked a million times already. I have researched this and cannot come to a definite conclusion, so maybe yall can help me. I swung in a set of 64's in the rear of my 86 k10. I did this by moving the front hangers fwd 6" and flipping my ORD brackets side to side (moved mounting position back 2"). Originally I used my ORD 6" super shackles, but the angle was far too steep, 15-20° at ride height. I had a set of 7.5" drop shackles laying around, so I cleaned them up and installed them. These bring my angle to 42-43° at ride height. Ive recorded all the measurements and done the math (trig!), and found that when using the long shackles, the rear bracket position is ideal where it is. If I want to use the 6" ORD shackles and achieve a stationary 42°ish angle, I would need to move the rear brackets back roughly 2". So, my question is, should I go through the trouble of drilling new holes and moving the rear brackets back so I can use the 6"ers, or beef up the long shackles and run em? And would 7.5" shackles be considered too long, or would they actually be a better match for the flexibility of the long springs?

......And boy do they like to flex:D Thanks in advance
