so a while back i took a few leafs out of my 8" rear lift springs, and added a DIY4X shackle flip with 6" shackle sides.

its sat fine with about a 45* shackle angle for a bit while i was finshing my truck, but i took it out today and my springs settled so much that there resting on my shackle hangers!

when i installed the hangars i moved them forward 3" from stock location. would moving back to stock location help fix my problem? WTF!

I would start by moving them back. Then messing with shackle length or replacing those missing leafs.

Sounds like if the leaves are resting on the hangers then the spring eye is almost 6" behind the hanger, correct? I think if you move the hangers 3" back to the stock location that should give you a fairly decent shackle angle. If you replaced the leaves and left the hanger in the 3" forward location you might be alright also. I probably wouldn't do both though.

This mine in the stock location with 56" stock springs and 6" shackles.

You need to take the spring's arc length and (shackle length) * sin (45 degrees). That difference is the distance your frame bushings need to be from each other.

The angle at ride height is irrelevant if you expect your suspension to actually work, although it works out to be around 35* as a rule of thumb with most people's springs.
