My 6" Tuff Country lift shipped out today, so now I'm shopping for the shackle flip to get rid of the 4" rear block that comes with my lift.

Kit comes 6" sorings for the front and AAL with 4" block for the rear, so with the Diy4x Shackle Flip N' Switch kit should I be buying the 4.5" or 6" shackles along with the flip kit, or just the basic kit?

I want the rear of the truck to sit roughly 1"-2" higher in the rear than the front.

Also, I'm going to be running 35's, should I be considering a set of Zero Rate/EZ Inch's? I know the tires will clear with the 6" lift, but I want them to sit centered in the fenders and not have to worry about any rub even at max flex and max steer.

Lastly, should I be considering any axle shims to keep driveshaft angles in check?

go with 6" shackles. for every inch longer the shackle is, you only gain a 1/2" lift.

So with the flip and 6" shackles I would be getting roughly 7" of lift? Wouldnt that be a little much as the TC lift kit comes with a 2" rear AAL?

FWIW i'm running a 6" spring up front and a 4" spring out back with a 4" shackle flip and my blazer sits a taste higher in the rear than the front. If you want the rear sitting 1-2" higher then you better be looking for a 4" shackle flip, 4" rear spring, AND a zero rate.

The shackle flip is going to move the axle forward 1" and if you decide to run longer shackles they will swiong the axle forward even more. Also the longer the shackle is the easier they could bend. Like was already said whatever the extra length of the shackle is over the stock shackle will only give 1/2 that much lift.

Was considering the cross-tied shackles for the added strength, but they have a 9/16" bolt hole compared to the regular 1/2". Will the bushings that come with the Flip n' Switch work with the large shackle bolts?

You would have to have new sleeves for a 9/16" bolt. You might want to ask Kert if he can supply the correct sleeves for your application.

i just installed my Flip n' Switch kit from Kurt, and the bushings that came with the kit required 9/16"(thread size) bolts. oh make sure you get those bolts before the install because they were impossible to get on a weekend here.

So how's this for a shopping list...

-Shackle Flip n' Switch kit
-6" cross-tied shackles
-zero-rates

Think that along with the AAL would provide me with the 6.5"-7.5" total lift im looking for?

add it up???

sounds like 8, but then depends what condition your rear springs are in.
