Okay the truck in question is the longbed 3/4 im building...going to be reusing the homebrew flip i had on the trazer.

The plan is to use the stock 54s? (right or wrong there) these and a set of the 6" "bird" shackles. (those net a 3"lift correct) Im looking to get about a 7-8inch lift.

Am I going to need to move the mount the standard 2" forward. To allow the shackle to point towards the rear of the truck like ` instead of / right?

While i have it all apart should i flip the springs so the long side is forward? or am i thinkin of a diff spring here?

Or should i do like i did with the trazer, and use the blocks that are milled. Flip them around to fix my pinion angle? Then build some big ass trac bars.

oh and the truck wont see much flex. stictly mud runner. and since that pic the holes have been filled and there are better welds.

well if you look at this pic this is the way my truck sits with a ord flip and the shackle up and down..no angle...for me its way to tall...i like a lower center of gravity...im gonna move mine fowrd an inch and my angle should be better anyway here is the pic (think you have already seen)...oh and thoose are 38.5 by the way..

Stock 52 right?

hmm...i think im just goin to spend a day tryin out different stuff. see what looks the best. im young, dont have a life :haha:

So yesterday i swapped the flip from the trazer onto the longbed. All of the following pictures are just the frame with 465/205 on it, no other weight.

Stock as it sat was 12 3/4 from the tube to the bottom of the frame.

Flip+52s 17 1/2 (5 1/4lift)

In yalls opinions, should i move the flip forward 2" and get a set of 6"shackles from kurt? or leave it like it is and build some big trac bars?

i would move it foward and get a set of 7 inch udsr shackles from kert...then i
would buy a 2 inch zero rate (i think black widdow and jkw seel them) and have them mill it so that it was angled for what you need...in other words make the 2 inch the lowest point of the zero rate...
