I did search, but I'm still not sure what if anything I need to do here. Here is a picture of the shackles after the DIY4x flip was installed:

What do you think about this shackle angle? They are pretty much straight up and down! The flip was installed in the stock hole locations.

This is how the truck sits now:

I have another problem, which you can also see from the shackle angles being different. The whole truck leans to one side slightly. The driver side is about 3/4 inch lower than the passenger side. I've done a 1-ton swap, with brand new 6" TC EZ Ride Springs up front. In the back I have old rough country 2" lift springs, the DIY4x shackle flip with 6" shackles. I noticed the tilt before the shackle flip install, so it must either be the rear springs are evenly worn or something with the front setup. Any ideas?

After I tackle this... its on to pinion angle! She looks setup right for a CV axle (pointing straight at the output of the TC), but I don't have a CV Axle yet. Is it worth doing to SYE on a 208?

Stock 52" springs? EDIT, i see you have lift springs in the rear.

shackle bolt torque?

Looks like your fuel tank isn't in yet either. Might want to finish the install and take it around the block, springs will settle in to some degree.

I have the same problem, it's just a chevy thing. :)

The shackle angle may not be optimum for off-road performance, but not like it won't work. As said above, finish up the install including the gas tank (assuming you have the stock one?) and then drive it around. The combination of some more weight and smply letting the springs re-settle to normal will likely make a difference. If you simply jacked up the truck to install the flip and then lowered it back down the springs are likely still bound up a little.

I see where you have 6inch shackles, I would try using 4inch ones to get a better angle

I went with the longer shackles to get the extra inch of lift I needed. I'll drive it around a bit as mentioned in notes above then decide what to do. I can go with the shorter shackles then use a zero-rate for the inch.

So, are they 52s???

You said 2" lift, are they for the rear of a blazer???

If so, they are 52s and you might want to look for some 2" lift 56s...

I just finished my DIY flip install about a week ago, Mine had about the same angle as yours with 6.in shackles. I drove it a little bit and it settled right back in and has a good angle now.

When I fliped mine about 4 yrs ago, I had no idea about running 56s...

My angle sucked, but it still wheeled fine...

Now with the 56s on, I can't believe I ran those 52s as long as I did...

I agree with Kurt. Put 200 or 300 lbs in the back and see what it does.

The lift 52's don't flatten out like a stocker which result in a shackle angle like yours.

I'm looking at this picture:

I'm wondering if the rear axle is too far forward and if I should go with the shorter shackles and a zero rate instead. I'm in the process of ordering a driveshaft and SYE kit, so I only want to order the driveshaft once.

I agree the rear needs to go back. The shorter shackles as stated above will help the angle and an easy inch will center the tire in the wheel well. One simple phone call to Kert.:D

Yep, what he said. Angles a little shallow, needs to bo just a little tighter.
