So I'm running a diy4x shackle flip, getting close to hitting the road and run into two issues. Searched and could find any answers.
First my class 3 recover hitch won't fit anymore. It looks like I have two options, notch the flip kit bracket or drill a hole through it and space the rear down to match the thickness of the bracket.
Also how's everyone routing the exhaust on k5s with the shackle flip? I wanna run a single 3" on the driver side because the traction bar is on the passenger. Anyone have some pics of how they routed theirs?

If you can weld, know someone who does, or a local welding shop.......................
I'd shorten the hitch just a little to match up with that oblong hole just above it.

I would space the receiver down. 1/4" lower won't be seen unless you point it out. Here in Sue-u-fornia welding on a trailer package by anyone but a certified welder is just asking to lose everything if in an accident.
You would most likely never have an issue, but why risk it. :dunno:

I am trying to remember what I did on my truck when I ran into the same issue with the 4X4 flip I installed on my truck. I will have to look at it when I get home.

You can also run the pipe under the frame and 90 it out behind the shackle hanger to make sure it's away from the tire and still pretty out of the way. And maybe easier for a less talented pipe bender to make happen. No matter what i like the 90 out the side exit to keep fumes out of inside.

when it cam to my tail pipe I cut it off, and put a turn down on it that turns down just after the rear diff, so I have no tail pipe at all.

I cut my receiver hitch to clear the shackle flip, the next closest hole even lined up with an existing hole in the frame.

I had my exhaust run high as possible between the spring and the frame, 45 degrees out both sides. Don't have any real good pictures ATM. I have flexed the rear hard and never had a clearance issue. IMG_20160817_084758.jpg

I was able to sneak the pipe between the gas tank and flip brackets on mine when I did it. FWIW, when I built the system...I had the stock rear spring hangers on there, but everything still cleared with the flip.

I think I have a few more pics of how the system went together. Some of them are when it still had the blocks/before the flip.
