Long story short, i picked up a k-5 with one of them out of the box kits from skyjacker. its got 12" springs in the front and 8" springs and 4"blocks in rear. Ive moved the blocks back under the springs 3 times now, but because of the extremely stiff ride, every bump pushes them out and one of these times there gonna shoot out at the speed of light when i hit a pothole. my ? is, im not sure that taking the blocks out and doin a shackle flip is the way to go, i think they would just be inverted because of arch. i was planning on takin the flip off my suburbon and throwing it on there, but i wanted to see what you guys thought. My only goal is to get rid of blocks, and still maintain lift. It is strictly a show truck. im not worried about ride quality, just want to get rid of blocks.

shackles inverted, because of the arch on the springs. my next ? is is ord of diy4x the way to go?

1st) I think your block moving issues are related to either loose u-bolts or bad center pins or both. You're not the first person with this set up and for a street driven truck this is not usually an issue.

2nd) if you're worried about shackle angle then relocate the flip bracket so the angle is ok. Btw, angle on the shackle can cause you to lose height so you may need a slightly longer than stock shackle to get the ride height even.

i though it was ubolts at first, but like 15lbs over what they should be. what is a good way for determining shackle angle without drilling a million holes, like should the spring eye be perfect straight up and down, a little to the front, a little to the rear, without load on it. i would think it should be straight with a slight angle rear so when there is load it goes to the rear.
