i have 4 inch rear blocks and stock springs. i want to put in a shackle flip... what will i need to keep my truck level if i want to remove the blocks?

I'm still in the process of putting in my shackle flip but information that I gathered from everyone here a 4" shackle flip should take the place of your 4" blocks and stay the same as far as being level. I'm adding a zero rate with mine just for an extra inch.

Good Luck.

Just keep in mind that the shackle flip moves the axle forward about 1" or so. If you want to keep the axle in it's original location then a set of zero rates are in order or re-drill the center pin hole on your perches and also drill a new hole in the top plates so you can move the axle back.

Thx for the info. I'll take it t my buddys shop in town when I get the kit and we can screw around with it. No one ever mentioned I moved the axle forward. Much appreciated :)

The axle location is not a big issue for most people.

If you want the tire centered in the wheel opening you will want to use the zero rate to move the axle back.

Still not a big deal.

would it be better to have it an inch back from where it was normally? Just kinda wonderin'

The axle travels back as it stuffs up into the wheel well. If it was mine I would set the axle location by where it ends up at full stuff.

If at full stuff you are to close to the front move the axle back, if it is to close to the back move the axle forward.

The location is tire size dependent and even wheel backspacing can have some effect in articulation.
Minor axle relocation is accomplished using the zero rates.
