pros and cons of DIY4X vs ORD shackle flip kits? From what i can see, DIY4X comes with option to include shackles (which i will need), and ORD sell them separately. ORD kit would accept factory shackles DIY wouldn't? anyone with this experience please chime in. I am getting my parts together for the axle swap. PO has some hideous blocks and mismatched shackles...hence this option. --1990 K5--

DIY4X's external shackle all day long IMO.... less money overall, more adjustability, stout as fug, etc..
 
Too long of flat plate shackle and they bend if you really plan on side loading them. Cheap enough to replace though.
Six in one hand half dozen in the other.
 
Tension shackle with ORDs super shackles ….I know there’s always that guy :D

yep, I had to upgrade to tied shackles for the DIY4X hangers. I run ORD's on the other truck.
