hey guys

I was wondering if i could run a shackle flip and get 6 inches of lift out of it. i have a 4 inch lift, springs in the front and 4 inch lift block in the back. I want to get 6 inch front lift springs and do a shackle flip in the rear using the stock springs, taking out the blocks.

I don't think you can use stock springs and get 6" w/the shackle, but I could be wrong. I am sure someone else will chime in.

You could get close with stock springs/ 4"shackle and zero rates=5".

I think you would have to buy 4" springs and use 2" shackles?

the diy4x kits are available with different shackle lengths (not that you couldn't use longer shackles on the other brands) so more height is possible. correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe the lift increase is 1/2 the shackle increase. so if a 4" (which seems to be the standard) shackle gives 4" lift, then a 6" would give 5" lift, etc.

so the 6 inch front springs with the shackle flip with 6inch shackles and a zero rate would be about level?

4" shackle flip plus zero rates would give you 5" lift then you would need 2" longer shackles to get 6 inches of lift. I'm running a blank on how long the stock shackles are. Hope that helps you out.:waytogo:

I *think* that stock shackles are around 4.5" long.. or right around there.

When I go shackle flip, I will use m current 2 inch add a leaves, and a zero rate. That should give me about 7 inches of lift in the rear.
