We're looking to do a shackle flip on my son's 85.
It has 4" lift springs on it now that are pretty stiff and we'd like to get a little more flex out if it. We want to keep it at the 4" and be able to keep the wheel centered.
The question I have is about the springs. Do I want to find a stock set from the same truck or is there something better that will still keep the wheels relatively centered?
Thanks Seanimagejpeg_0.jpg

Stock springs on the shackle flip will flex pretty well. Then it also keeps your shock and the tire where it is now. You could either get them out of the junkyard or by new and have them shipped to your house.

The parts that Justin linked are perfect to set the axle position. When you do a shackle flip, the axle moves forward. We had Alcan make a new main leaf for my son's '72. It is 1" longer on the front half to move the axle back and to get a little better shackle angle. The rest of the spring pack is stock.
